For that reason, a D-sub connector can be a real game-changer. This broad connector is a lot smaller than an XLR plug, making it more suitable for compact products that have a D-sub connector. All you need is a breakout cable or the RME DTOX-16 O breakout panel that gives you sixteen female XLR and two D-sub connectors to work with!
