General
The RME DTOX-32 breakout panel (AES/EBU) is basically a rack version of breakout cables that some producers swear by. It's a compact device that is not big enough for standard XLR connectors. The D-sub connector is more economic in terms of space, but you need a breakout cable or panel like the DTOX-32 in order to use XLR cables. This device has AES/EBU connectors: eight inputs and eight outputs.
