RCF L-PAD6 compact 6-channel mixer

General

RCF has a good reputation when it comes to professional sound applications. They've been producing widely-used, versatile speakers for more than 30 years, and now they've expanded their catalogue to include a line of compact mixers. This line, called Livepad, is intended for the live amplification of microphones, instruments and other sound sources, as its name implies. The RCF L-PAD6 is the smallest model in this line of compact mixers. It has two microphone/line inputs and two stereo outputs, for a total of six inputs.

Transparent microphone preamps

RCF took up the task of designing preamps that sound transparent and reproduce the original, organic sound of the source. The sound of these preamplifiers could thus best be described as warm and true to the original live quality of the source. The timbre can be easily adjusted via the 3-way tone equalizer on the microphone channels. Furthermore, the frequencies of these tone controls have been well chosen to make the adjustment process both simple and effective. Finally, the two stereo channels are equipped with a 2-way EQ, which is also very effective.

Applications

Thanks to its compact design, this RCF L-PAD6 is flexible and versatile, making it a great choice for use at conferences, background music in cafes, schools, parties, singer/songwriters and at home. Its ergonomic design makes it easy to hold and it makes using the variety of connections a piece of cake. You also have the option of connecting an external effects device to the AUX send and return.
