General
The art of mixing heavily depends on the mixer itself. You might be a mixing expert, but if you lack the budget for a high-quality mixer, your talent will only get you so far. That's why Soundcraft developed a mixing console that offers the same quality and options as a professional mixer, at a very decent price.
The 24-channel GB2 offers you a plethora of options, including many inputs and outputs and of course, stereo channels. On the top of the mixer, you'll find 24 faders for the mono channels, and two faders for the two stereo channels. On the right, there are four faders for the group outputs, and a master section. Take a look at the back of the mixer and you'll see the connection options - each channel is fitted with different connectors. Each mono channel features one XLR connector and three 1/4-inch jack connectors, comprising one line input, one insert point, and a direct output. The direct output comes with a switch that allows you to send out the signal pre or post fader.
The mixer's housing is made completely of metal, and thanks to its sturdy materials, you'll be able to enjoy the mixing console for many years to come. This is also thanks to the many output options. There are also six AUX outputs with rotary knobs, two of which can be used as pre or post faders, and four of which are fixed (two post and two pre). Because the mixer has long fader paths (3.9 inches/100 mm), you'll be able to work very accurately. This is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to mix professionally.
