The Sennheiser ClipMic digital is the perfect way to make professional-sounding recordings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This lavalier microphone was developed in collaboration with Apogee and comes with an Apogee converter for excellent audio quality. This mic is ideal for recording interviews on location, giving presentations, or for live performances because it captures the most sound from the front. The converter also has a 24-bit audio resolution with sampling rates of up to 96 kHz.
ClipMic digital and the MetaRecorder app: a winning combination
This ClipMic digital comes complete with a converter with Lightning connection, a carrying pouch, a metal grille, a foam wind shield, and a clothing clip. The actual recording is done using a free app called Apogee MetaRecorder. You can even operate some of the functions with your Apple Watch! Plus, there are tons of other apps available that can access the microphone. The advantage of the Lightning connector is that it keeps your headphone output free for monitoring.
