Sennheiser and Apogee have joined forces to create a lavalier microphone so you can make top-notch studio-quality recordings with your iOS device. The Sennheiser MKE 2 digital can be worn discreetly on your clothing. Connect the converter to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch by means of a Lightning cable. This mobile solution is ideal for recording speech in particular, so whether you're making a professional film with your DSLR camera or taping your child's music recital, using the Sennheiser MKE 2 digital is easy!

MKE 2 digital: control via apps

This MKE 2 digital mic comes complete with a converter with Lightning connection, a carrying pouch, a metal grille, a foam wind shield, and a clothing clip. The actual recording is done using a free app called Apogee MetaRecorder. You can even operate some of the functions with your Apple Watch! Plus, there are tons of other apps available that can access the microphone. The advantage of the Lightning connector is that it keeps your headphone output free for monitoring.
