JHS Pedal's Little Black Amp Box is an attenuator that's compact, inexpensive and highly effective. Simply plug it into the series FX loop on your amplifier and enjoy a fully-saturated sound at a moderate volume. The attenuation level is easily controlled using the single knob and because the device is so compact you should have no problem finding a space for it on your pedalboard.

Does what it's meant to very well. I have a 20 watt Marshall combo with an effects loop and as I play at home, I could never get natural drive from the valves. With this little pedal in the loop, I have the amp at full wattage, drive and master vol at 8. This pedal is a master volume to bring it down to bedroom level with valve overdrive. Sweet.

Dit kleine bakje temt mijn Fender Hot Rod Deville perfect. De klank blijft mooi en rauw maar het volume is nu onder controle zodat ik nu thuis ook kan oefenen op mijn echte lampenversterker. En dat allemaal voor een fractie van de prijs van een attenuator.
Dit werkt wel enkel als je een effectsloop op je versterker hebt.

Na verschillende dure amp-attenuators te hebben gehad en terug verkocht wegens 'toch niet meer het authentieke geluid' (én bovendien niet gezond voor je eindtransfo) deze Little Black Amp Box aangeschaft, zonder echt grote verwachtingen. Het resultaat is verbluffend ! Eindelijk een makkelijke, goedkope "attenuator" die je oorspronkelijk versterkergeluid volledig intact laat. Dit resultaat bereik je echt niet met een volumepedaal of EQ in de FX loop ... ik heb het zelf allemaal geprobeerd, dus laat je niks wijs maken. Eindelijk kan ik m'n mini-plexi (Marshall SV20H) op huiskamervolume gebruiken en toch die warme lampensound, oversturing en dynamiek erbij hebben. Topproduct en zoals steeds perfecte levering de dag nadien door Bax !

Dit klein ding doet perfect waarvoor het gemaakt is. Ik kan de buizen van m’n Marshall volop doen werken en toch op huiskamervolume (of luider als je wil) spelen. Zou ik zelfs durven gebruiken voor een gig waar het volume beperkt moet blijven. Dien je aan te sluiten op je amp FX-loop en het enige nadeel is dat je de daar eventueel aangesloten pedalen (delay, …) best er van tussen haalt. Gebruik van pedalen in front van de amp is geen probleem. Heel tevreden over deze Little Black Amp Box.
