General

This high-quality AD/DA converter will allow you to enjoy your music in its purest form. The Pure2 was developed with the Eclipse 384 in mind, and succeeds in combining digital clarity with an authentic, analogue sound. Moreover, it can be operated both efficiently and ergonomically using the included software. The AD and DC converters are made by BurrBrown and Antelope's internal clocking technology is the result of decades of experience in the field. In short: pure quality!

Antelope Pure2: audio in its purest form

Antelope has found a way to combine a number of practical applications into the Pure2; for starters, the 2-channel AD and DA converters, but also a high-end headphone amplifier with its own individual DA converter so you can adjust the quality without touching the 'main signal'. This converter also has a precise volume knob that can be operated digitally. Thanks to its outstanding DAC architecture, the left and right signals are perfectly balanced, even at very low volumes. For optimal performance, the left and right channels even have a separate converter.

Clocking

Antelope is known for their top-notch clocking technology that keeps an entire studio synchronised. Naturally, the Pure2 is equipped with a high-quality internal clock with no less than eight Word Clock outputs to synchronise the rest of your studio. This will prevent any digital clock disruptions like jitter in your audio. The Pure2 also features digital, balanced inputs and outputs like Toslink, S/PIDF and AES/EBU.

I was a bit dubious about choosing an Antelope piece of gear. But after taking the plunge I’m glad I did.

Antelope Audio: Hardware Effects are Standard Issue

Wednesday 8 June 2016 By Lizanne

Antelope Audio, pioneers in clocking technology and high-end studio gear, offer impressive effects bundles with their products. We'd like to remind you just how impressive those bundles are. When you purchase Antelope Audio Orion Studio, Zen Tour or the flagship of audio interfaces, the Goliath, you'll get one heck of a software package included. While Antelope Audio aren't the only audio interface manufacturers on the market, what sets them apart from the rest is the fact that their effects are hardware-driven by a Field Programmable Gate Array, a.k.a FPGA, chip. This technology goes one step further than DSP.
