Over the years, this near-ancient bit of kit would break down and get rebuilt again and again, until finally, the original components dried up and parts of other units were tacked on Frankenstein-style, resulting in a truly unique and fully customised compressor. To put the unique character of the continuously tweaked and customised original within affordable reach of the wider masses, Chris teamed up with Black Lion to develop the Black Lion Audio Bluey. Structurally speaking, this unit is a direct facsimile of the OG Blue Stripe, and provides the same potent compression and rich, incomparable character.
