General
Roland's R-MIX software is an innovative 'visual' mix-manipulation tool for Mac and PC. All the components of a stereo mix are displayed on your screen as colour-coded clouds of energy and frequencies. All while you are playing your songs! Simply select various components of the mix and edit them. It enables you not only to change the panning positions, but to adjust the individual volumes of the instruments and vocals of the mix as well. Even the pitch and the tempo can be edited, thanks to the VariPhrase function.
What can this software do for you?
The R-MIX software allows you to make effortless 'minus-one'-style karaoke tracks. This means you can mute the lead vocals or a certain instrument in an existing song. You can also easily create you own remixes by combining two pairs of stereo tracks. It is even possible to select one single instrument from the mix and slow it down. Ideal if you want to work out how to play that one particular, tricky guitar solo! The R-MIX software can be used to clean up and master old recordings and to apply effects to it, too. The software is easy to operate and provides a great sound quality.
Quick and easy editing of individual components
Roland's R-MIX software enables you to add an effect to a specific component of a mix. Delay and Reverb are at your disposal. With the built-in Noise Cancel function you can remove any unwanted noise or humming. The R-MIX software leaves your natural sound intact and does not add any unnecessary noises and artifacts. When you are done editing, you can export your project as an audio file, or import it into your favourite DAW. All the functions of the R-MIX software are displayed in one single screen. As such, you have a clear overview without having to browse through countless menus.
