General
The Sennheiser E 835 S is a dynamic microphone with a noiseless on/off switch, contained in an extremely durably body. The specifications are identical to those of the Sennheiser E 835, that version has no on/off switch, however. The E 835 S is very popular with vocalists as well as sound technicians thanks to its solid construction and good sound properties. Delivered including a handy storage sleeve and microphone clip.
Makeup of the E 835 S
The E 835 S is a cardioid lead vocal stage microphone, specifically designed to withstand on-stage misuse by singers, MCs and whatever other applications you might think of. Handling noise is countered by an advanced built-in shockmount system. The noiseless on/off switch can also be locked.
The sound
The E 835 S delivers a full, dynamic and clear sound and has a frequency range of 40 Hz to 16 kHz. A light peak in the high frequencies ensures that your voice perfectly cuts through the mix and is intelligible. Only your voice is picked up, nearby guitars or other sounds are not and therefore you will not be bothered by feedback. This is ensured by the cardioid pickup pattern of the diaphragm.

I have been using a Sennheiser E-835 S Microphone for church work, speech and lead vocals. It has been used along side another brand (best not name) which just didn't sound as good plus it is now giving problems. The need for a replacement should be a simple choice. The E-835 S, good clear sound quality, no popping, no feedback, sturdy and well made. The switch is also very useful.

Naast de SHURE SM58 die ik al enkele jaren had, wilde ik ook deze gerenommeerde Sennheiser proberen. Nu bij enkele optredens gebruikt en ik vind hem prima in gebruik. Van een regelmatige bezoeker vernam ik dat hij het geluid van deze microfoon een stuk beter vond dan die ik eerder gebruikte. Zelf hoor je dit natuurlijk niet bij gebruik, maar uit opnames leek mij ook dat het geluid beter, voller en duidelijker was. Dus hij voldoet geheel aan mijn verwachtingen en wensen.
