General

When Cort released its first multi-scale in 2018 with the KX500MS, the model immediately caught on because of its excellent value for money. This new Cort KX507 Multi Scale takes that up a notch! This 7-string electric guitar is constructed from a mahogany body with an eye-catching pale moon ebony top, giving each one a unique look. In addition, an extremely stable 5-piece maple/purpleheart neck has been chosen. The new 'next gen' Cort logo also complements the aggressive styling of the KX series.

KX507 Multi Scale: fine playing experience

The Cort KX507 is a so-called multi-scale. In this case, that means the guitar's scale ranges from 25.5 inches at the high strings to 27 inches at the low strings. The eighth fret is the neutral (straight) fret. From that point, the frets fan out. This makes the low strings feel nice and tight and also allows you to solo comfortably. Moreover, this makes all 24 frets on the ebony fingerboard easy to play. This makes the multiscale a popular choice among musicians who love the faster and technical work.

Many sound options

Cort has loaded the KX507 Multi Scale with a set of active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. These pickups don't use a traditional magnetic coil, so unwanted side noises are minimal. So you can count on a tight and powerful sound. For extra tone variation, you can use the two push/pull switches. One lets you choose between two different voicings. The other switch acts as a coil-split. The hardtail bridge with individual saddles also contributes to a stable base and clean intonation.
