General

Veteran keyboardists who want more than the standard options rejoice! Behold Roland's E-A7 arranger keyboard! It's clear Roland did not skimp on the physical controls for this instrument. Dozens of sliders, buttons and pads, as well as two displays, all serving one purpose: ease of use. With a little practice, the E-A7 will allow you to work faster than ever. That's great if you're a professional entertainer, as you'll have to be able to change settings and adjust your sound on the fly - you shouldn't keep your audience waiting!

Roland E-A7: Features

Of course, the most important aspect about any instrument is its sound, and it won't come as a surprise that this Roland keyboard doesn't disappoint! The E-A7 comes preloaded with over 1500 tones- and not just the typical western ones, but a wide variety of them, from all over the world! To keep track of all the different tones, you can use the right display, while the left one is used for the E-A7's 600 styles. Those styles are excellent in their own right, but they even have various intros, fills and endings to complement them. There are also plenty of effects you can apply to the tones, as well as to an external input. Basically that means you can plug in a microphone, sing along to what you're playing and even add some reverb or a subtle delay to your vocals.

Additional Possibilities

The Roland E-A7 has 128 MBs of memory for you to load samples for your own tones - ideal if you want a specific sound that Roland doesn't offer. Furthermore, the Style Composer allows you to create your own backing styles. However, doing so is quite labour-intensive, so don't underestimate the pre-programmed styles. Finally, if you've written a great song, you can record both your playing and your vocals and save the whole as a CD-quality WAV file! In short, the Roland E-A7 arranger keyboard allows you to be as creative as you want, and the results speak for themselves!
