General

Sure, building a high-end keyboard with a four-figure price tag isn't easy, but building a budget-friendly model that strikes the perfect balance between functionality and affordability is no small feat either. Fortunately, Medeli are experts at designing bang-for-your-buck gear and present the MK401: a text-book example of a keyboard loaded with features and functions that stretch beyond anyone's expectations considering the price tag. First of all, besides various traditional styles, the keyboard features a number of more upbeat, DJ-focussed styles; a basic sampler for recording vocal sounds that are automatically divided across the keyboard so any can be used immediately, and an actual XY-pad for filter control.

The Medeli MK401: There's More

It's probably worth mentioning that the MK401 isn't exclusively designed with DJs in mind. Classic ballroom styles have been loaded in, as have hundreds of traditional piano, guitar, wind and string instrument sounds. In addition, thanks to the 64-voice polyphony, there's ample room to stack notes while the built-in speakers make sure you can swing or sing along without holding back. To finish, you naturally get a headphone jack which doubles as a stereo line output and, when needed, the Medeli MK401 can run on six AA batteries for use anywhere!

Wrote the following about Medeli MK401 Keyboard

Ok. Het is een instrument voot beginners. En heel goed, maar:
- soms blijft er een noot klinken zelfs als ik het keyboard niet aanraak.
- handleiding zou iets uitgebreider kunnen uitleggen (vooral naar beginners toe).
- ik zou vervangen:
* die pad weg en zorgen voor knoppen gelinkt aan een voice (bvb een knop direct voor guitaar).
- de sampler weg voor een groter display.

Maar nogmaals. Dit is een keyboard met veel mogelijkheden en leuk om te experimenteren met setup.

Al bij al, geen miskoop.

Door Bax snel en goe verpakt geleverd (om beschadigingen tegen te gaan).

Wrote the following about Medeli MK401 Keyboard

helaas vodoet het keyboard niet aan mijn vereisten. Het is zeker een goed keyboard met enorm veel mogelijkheden, maar bij mij kan er geen connectie zijn met mijn DAW Bitwig Studio die ik gebruik, het keyboard wordt niet herkend door de DAW waardoor de enige mogelijke connectie is via normaal Keyboard support als controller. Dit bied weinig mogelijkheden om ermee te werken in de DAW.
Mijn vsts werken niet samen met het keyboard in de DAW.
Pluspunt van het keyboard is dat u geen externe geluidskaart meer hoeft aan te sluiten wat mogelijkse storingen bij opnames via DAW uitsluit. Verder bieden de instrumentaria en ritmes heel veel mogelijkheden voor deze prijs.
