Speakers are usually portable, and sometimes they even run on a battery. But then again, you sometimes miss some low-end. And as we know, a subwoofer is a big juggernaut to lug around. Yet Mackie has a nice offer here: the Mackie ThumpSub GO active portable subwoofer, equipped with two eight-inch woofers. Not only is it 'reasonably' portable (not on your bike rack), but it can even run on a battery. There is room for two batteries, one of which (GB-200) is already supplied. Each battery stands for six hours of use. The way it works: your sound source goes directly to this sub, and from this sub you link your satellites. You can also stream to the sub via bluetooth, plus you can use the ThumpSub Go both horizontally and vertically.
