General

The MXR M288 Bass Octave Deluxe is an effect pedal for bass guitars that adds not only one, but two octaves to the signal. You can control the effects separately, which are both an octave below the sound of the bass guitar. The Growl knob allows you to adjust the raw suboctave sound and the Girth control lets you set the deep, round sounding suboctave. The M288 can bestow its gut-wrenching growling sounds to your guitar as well as your bass guitar.

Setting up the M288 Bass Octave

The Girth and Growl controls of the M288 Bass Octave Deluxe let you control how much of the suboctaves you mix with the original signal. The Dry control lets you determine the mix of the effect and the original sound. Subsequently, you can boost the mid frequencies with the MID+ knob to further empower the bass sound. Additionally, you can also adjust the level and frequency range of the boost. Moreover, the M288 is notable for its buckets of headroom as well as its ability to keep up with your playing without fault!

Erg goed klinkende octaver! Ik wilde per se een analoge octaver en deze was qua toon precies wat ik zocht. wel beetje aan de prijs maar het zeker wel waard. ik moet zeggen dat ik em zelf vooral gebruik vanaf mn A en D snaar, laag op mn E klinkt ie heel brutal... kan ook vet zijn maar niet vaak iets waar ik naar op zoek ben. Klein puntje, de octaver zet wel iets later in dan ik misschien zou willen maar das maar klein detail.

Best klinkende octaver die ik tot op heden heb gehad. Super goede tracking, veel beter dan een EBS Octabass of Boss OC2/3. Dik, vuil, smeuïg zijn woorden die ik zou gebruiken om de klank te omschrijven. Ben je in de markt voor een ocataver en heb je een wat ruimer budget? Kijk niet verder...
