General
The M169 Carbon Copy is an authentically warm-sounding analogue delay pedal with a delay time of up to 600 ms. It gives your guitar sound those characteristically old-fashioned bathroom reverbs and delectably slow Pink Floydish delays. The guitar pedal - with the same dimensions and rugged housing as the classic Phase 90, for instance - can be adjusted via its three knobs and two internal controls. The M169 is a very rugged stomp box by MXR!
A sound of your own with the M169
You can adjust the delay time of the M169 Carbon Copy via the Delay knob and the number of repetitions with its regeneration control. The balance between the dry signal and the effect can be set with the Mix knob. Additionally, you can have the M 169 modulate the signal by pressing Mod, after which you can also adjust the width and rate via two internal potentiometers! If this true bypass pedal is off, nothing of the clarity of the original signal is lost. Experiment away and create your own sound!

Fijn pedaal! Analoge delay klinkt warm en de modulatie komt mooi naar voren. Delay tijd is met 600ms niet bijster lang, maar daarvoor krijg je wel een van de allerbeste delays die ik heb geprobeerd. Ik gebruik hem voornamelijk voor slapback om een mooie dikte te geven aan mijn signaal.

Een goede Delay pedaal en eenvoudig in gebruik voor live optreden, geeft gewoon een warme Delay sound die je wilt horen als gitarist als je in een rock-popband samen speelt. Zowel slag akkoorden of solo partijen klinken geweldig. Dus voor mij een prima pedaal wat heel goed past bij de andere voet pedalen die ik gebruik.

Ik ben niet graag de spelbreker, maar om heel eerlijk te zijn vond ik geen bal aan de Carbon Copy.
De repeats zijn zodanig vermolmd donker dat ie enkel bruikbaar is voor het aandikken van je leadsound.
En voor een one-trick pony vind ik het dan wel best een duur pedaal. Doe mij maar de EHX Memory Toy.

Ultieme delay voor mensen die niet te veel poespas nodig zijn in hun delay. Dat wat 'ie doet, doet 'ie enorm goed. Mooie delay, goed in te stellen, mix-knop werkt fantastisch, eigenlijk alles wat je nodig bent voor de lekker romige solo delay. Het gemis van een tap-functie om snel het delay tempo aan te passen zorgt voor 1 ster minder dan de kwaliteit van het pedaal an sich verdient. Het leukste aan deze delay is wellicht de "mod" functie, waarmee de delay wat pitch-shift en daardoor iets spooky/freaky wordt. Vooral in de donkere of psychedelische muziekstijlen komt dit bijzonder goed tot z'n recht.

Zeer hoge kwaliteit zoals we gewoon zijn van mxr/dunlop.
Mooi analoog delaygeluid zowel op een clean kanaal als op een overdrive kanaal.
Het oscillatie effect dat je kan maken is ook leuk om met te spelen.

Een eenvoudig delay pedaal met een warme, volle delay klank. Dit pedaal verslaat naar mijn mening vele andere (veel duurdere) delay pedalen. Ik heb 'm echter geretourneerd omdat de delay ruist op mijn versterker (ongeaard stopcontact...) wat ik zeer irritant vind.
