General

The Boss PS-6 Harmonist offers four intelligent pitch shift effects as well as 3-voice harmony in a single pedal. Spice up your sound with effect modes like Harmony, Pitch Shifter, Detune and Super Bend for authentic pedal-bending effects and three to four-octave pitch sweeps. Meanwhile, DSP circuits allow you to create complex harmonies.

Characteristics

The PS-6 is capable of producing two to three-voice harmonies in Pitch Shifter, Detune and Harmony mode. Detune mode broadens your sound in a natural way by adding two signals with slightly raised and lowered pitch to your direct signal. It's also possible to shift the pitch an octave up or a fifth below the original signal. Super Bend shifts the pitch over a 7-octave span, ranging from -3 to +4 octaves - you can set the Rise and Fall to your personal preferences.

Operating the PS-6 Harmonist

Adjusting effects is a piece of cake. In Harmony mode you can easily create a three-voice harmony by selecting a major or minor key and setting the Shift knob to 3-Voice. The Shift knob allows you to switch between the various pitch options that are available per mode. If you like, you can even control the pitch and bend effects by means of an optional expression pedal.
