The Boss VE-1 is a Vocal Echo effect pedal that allows vocalists to apply professional reverb and studio effects to their vocals. You don't have to be a professional audio engineer to work with this compact and user-friendly unit. Whether you're new to the world of audio effects or a skilled PA engineer, with the VE-1 anyone is able to make their vocals sound their best.

Simple and user-friendly

When you're working with the VE-1, there's no need to worry about complicated parameter settings. Simply select one of the seven available presets and twist the Level and Depth knobs until you've created the desired effect. If you're a more advanced user, of course there are more detailed parameters to fine-tune your sound with. In addition to professional reverb effects, the VE-1 boasts Double, Pitch Correct and Enhance features to give your sound a finishing touch. Pitch Correct, for instance, keeps your vocals in tune and lends you that characteristic 'electronic voice' sound. Most vocalists don't have their own professional sound engineer to deliver the perfect reverb for them. Fortunately, the VE-1 offers a welcome all-in-one solution, so you can produce a fantastic sound without the help of an audio professional.

Versatile

The Vocal Echo's built-in USB audio port allows you to record your modified vocals directly in your DAW. The Boss VE-1 is powered by batteries or an AC adapter and can be used in any setting. Conclusie: 'Blikkerig' en digitaal geluid, niet voor mij. wel degelijk gebouwd.

Ik had veel verwachtingen van dit pedaal, maar na een half uurtje testen was ik er snel achter dat het geen toevoeging was voor mijn set.

Getest in combinatie met een Shure SM58 beta microfoon en een Loudbox artist acoustische versterker.
Ik ben een man, 38 jaar oud, en een wat lagere stem. Ik speel veel songs van Ben Howard met percussie-gitaar en zang.

Pedaal ziet er degelijk gebouwd uit, met de grote knop schakel je de reverb aan of uit. Ik had een extra pedaal aangesloten en daarmee kon je dan de "Double" functie aanzetten. Deze functie was naar mijn idee wel erg nep. Maar ik kan me voorstellen dat bij bepaalde soorten muziek en nummers het wel kan bijdragen. Hetzelfde met de autotune. Alle knoppen voelen stevig en draaien goed, je voelt kwaliteit. Apparaat is eenvoudig te bedienen. In/uitgangen zijn ook degelijk. Had niet het gevoel dat het prutkwaliteit was.

Ik was op zich wel te spreken over de "enhance" knop, 1x indrukken geeft effect, 2x wordt je stem nog meer benadrukt.

Al met al een goed pedaal, maar voor mij totaal geen toevoeging.

Na de boss ve-2 gekocht te hebben voor de backing vocals. Nu deze voor mezelf als lead zanger gekocht. Puur om meer controle te hebben over de echo en doubling van mijn stem. We doen nogal wat Pink Floyd dusss... Geweldig materiaal dat van boss. Zeer tevreden. En natuurlijk weer supersnel binnen zoals gewend van bax!

Prima apparaatje. Mooie galm tijdens het zingen, die eenvoudig aan en uit is te schakelen door simpelweg met je voet op het pedaaltje te tikken. Zo kun je (bijvoorbeeld) met een mooie galm zingen, terwijl je daarna deze kunt uitschakelen om iets te zeggen (omdat bij praten een galm natuurlijk erg lelijk is). Ik ben er erg tevreden over.
