General
The FS-5U is a rugged, momentary unlatch-type foot switch. In order to activate your guitar effects or effect series, you have to keep applying pressure to the pedal. Release the pedal and it switches off again. As such, the FS-5U can also be used as a sustain pedal. Due to the polarity switch, which reverses the on/off status of the pedal, this foot switch is compatible with nearly all equipment that is fitted with a foot switch input. Boss also manufacture the FS-5L, a latch-type foot switch that does not require continuous pressure. These foot switches are equipped with a special groove system that allows you to attach several FS5U/Ls to each other.

Prima pedaal, ietwat aan de prijzige kant. Doet wat er van verlangd wordt. Stevig gemaakt en makkelijk om aan elkaar of met de FS-5L te koppelen. Al vier jaar in gebruik en geen slijtage te merken.

Dit pedaal werkt perfect en is één van de twee BOSS FS-5U's die mijn BOSS RC-3 looper aansturen.
Eén van de twee (2010) FS-5U's bleek in de loop der jaren niet meer goed. De RC-3 metronoom ging soms plotseling tikken - of de begeleidingsloop hield er ineens tijdens de solo mee op. Niet handig tijdens het optreden. Andere RC-3 erbij aangeschaft - alles hetzelfde - en dus gezien het niet op kunnen vertrouwen nog amper gebruikt. En na tien jaar er dus eindelijk achter gekomen dat één van de FS-5U's de boosdoener was. Nu werkt alles weer perfect en krijgt de RC-3 weer een volwaardige rol in het bandgebeuren.

Prima ding, werkte perfect op Roland BK5 keyboard. Heb intussen een Yamaha Tyros4 aangeschaft en daarop werkt dit pedaal niet, ook niet na omwisseling van de Polen, dus in een klap een waardeloos apparaat.

Fijn pedaal,
Zeer degelijk.
Voelt licht wat betreft druk kracht maar voelt zeer stevig.
Veel beter als het pedaaltje dat ik eerst had.
Ook slim dat Jack kabel apart moet worden besteld. Bij kabel breuk ben dus maar 2 euro nog wat kwijt in plaats van het geld voor een compleet nieuw pedaal

Prima pedaal, stevig uitgevoerd, wel een beetje aan de prijs, daarom drie sterren. Als je niet aan een merk hangt dan zíjn er betaalbaardere alternatieven beschikbaar.
