500 Watts of output powered by newly-designed Class-D amplification, the Boss Katana-500 Bass Head hands you a full sound-sculpting tool box. Ultra-advanced and exclusive Boss technology lies in the guts of this amp head with decades of research and development to back it up, all to guarantee mega-variable bass sound packed with nuance and expression.

The Boss Katana-500 Bass Head: Powerful, Responsive & Precise

This Boss offering certainly lays down a powerful and heavy foundation, all balanced by the perfect amount of clarity and an extremely natural response. Shape your personal bass sound via the full pack of control pots and switches lined up along the front panel, starting with the active four-band equaliser, which even supplies three low-mid and high-mid settings so you can emphasise the right mid frequencies with even deeper precision. You can also give the trebles the same treatment, thanks to a set of three Hi-Cut settings so you can make your output as bright, broad or mid-rich as you need it to be.

The Optimum Sound & Feel

An extra two setting options are served up for very specifically adjusting the 'Feel' of this amp, so you can flip between Modern and Vintage or go for a more flat 'off' setting and truly match the sound to your playing style and genre. Gain control over the dynamics by engaging the built-in compressor and give your tone some edge by opening up the Drive pot, all before adding the extra colour of up to three Boss effects and balancing them with your dry bass sound via the Blend pot. Lastly, you're granted access to the innovative Cab Resonance function, which expertly calibrates the output and matches it perfectly to any speaker cabinet you so desire.
