For absolute beginners, Casio offers the CT-S100 from their CasioTone series keyboards. This beginner-keyboard has 61 keys, 122 sounds and 61 rhythms on board that are sure to keep you entertained for hours on end and you can use the five quick-access keys to instantly call up your favourite sounds. A built-in carrying handle allows you to take the CT-S100 to the park, the beach or practise, as it only weighs a mere 3.3 kg. It runs on 6 AA batteries (not included) or the separately available Casio AD-95 power adapter, so if you've been looking for a solid starter keyboard to play simple and fun melodies and chords on, the Casio CT-S100 is a worthy choice. If you're looking for something slightly beyond an entry-level model, you might want to consider the CT-S200 with touch-sensitive keys.
