General

The BOSS DD-8 Digital Delay houses unbelievably expansive and intuitive stereo delay. In one little stompbox, you get no fewer than 11 delay modes including Shimmer, Mod and Reverse. You can choose between a clean, pure digital delay and a vintage, analogue and beaten up tape delay. Compared to the immensely popular DD-7, much has been added to the face of the 8th version of this renowned pedal. Warp mode offers dynamic textures for more ambient leaning sounds and the glitchy, rhythmic GLT mode gives a short-cut to the stuttering effect many users produced with the DD-3. The broad-thinking BOSS DD-8 is a solid little stompbox, literally overflowing with delay options.

DD-8: Expressive Delay

A useful writing and rehearsing tool, the looper has been the pedal of the moment for a while now. The BOSS DD-8 comes with a looper mode with 40 seconds of recording time in mono or 20 seconds in stereo. To optimally toggle and adjust the numerous flavours of delay, a foot-switch or expression pedal (not included) can be jacked in, adding even more expression to your delay game and pushing the available effects into an unfamiliar, exciting realm.

Modern Connection Options

The BOSS DD-8 offers full stereo I / O support, with a choice of three output modes, including panning (ping-pong) or an expansive stereo sound. In addition, the inputs and outputs have smart functions and depending on how you connect the cables, you can use discrete wet / dry settings. Mono, stereo or fully wet, the DD-8 can be integrated into your rig in a number of ways, allowing you to add affecting and endlessly creative delay that best fits your setup and style of play.
