The original Echoplex tape delays created a popular echo effect, and now you can have that in a compact, modern device with the EP101 Echoplex Preamp. This pedal is based on the preamplifier portion of the classic Echoplex EP3, so it's not a delay pedal, but rather it works to improve and enrich your tone like only an Echoplex can. Now you can be let in on the secret ingredient of many guitar legends, from Jimmy Page to Eddie van Halen.

Dunlop EP101 Echoplex Preamp: warm boost

No matter where you place it in your effect chain, the Dunlop EP101 makes your sound richer and fatter. This is thanks to the Field-Effect Transistor (FET), which has the exact same signal path as the original EP3 Echoplex. You can boost your signal up to +11 dB with the gain control, which results in a nice, mild, organic overdrive with higher settings. A built-in power management circuit ensures that the Echoplex Preamp delivers consistent headroom throughout the entire lifespan of a 9V battery.

True bypass

The Dunlop EP101 Echoplex Preamp is a true-bypass pedal, which means that the original sound of your instrument won't be altered at all when the pedal is off. That means no more issues with tonesuck! This stompbox can be powered via either a 9V battery or the Dunlop ECB003 9V DC power adapter, both of which are sold separately. Thanks to the robust metal housing, you can rest assured that the Dunlop EP101 Echoplex preamp will perform for years.

Wrote the following about Dunlop EP101 Echoplex Preamp effects pedal

Wanted a pedal with a subtle boost and the echoplex pre amp does just that. Works well with other pedals and good build quality. Also holds it's value very well, so could easily be sold on without too much of a loss if its not for you.

Exactement ce que je cherchais. Du boost subtile et coloré juste ce qu'il faut. Je ne peux deja plus m'en passer. Prix un peu élevé mais ça vaut le coup.
