Since elements of jazz can be found in pop and elements of pop can be found in rock and so on and on, most drummers are now seeking out the kind of easy-going and all-round setup that's able to tackle anything. As such, and as part of their A-Series, Zildjian offer the Sweet Ride. This 21-inch cymbal is made of B20 bronze alloy and has a balanced medium-thin weight, so you get a relatively long sustain and a wide volume alongside outstanding stick definition. The Sweet Ride also delivers a great 'crash' as needed and, depending where you're playing across the bow, responds with an array of distinctly different responses. The bell sounds bright, defined and lends itself brilliantly to complex rhythmic patterns, whether beginner or advanced.
