General

As a compact audio interface equipped with superior preamps, a high-performance clocking engine and AD/DA conversion, the Prism Sound Lyra 2 is the best you can get when it comes to sound quality. Based on the Orpheus audio signal path, this interface is fully prepped for unprecedented results and has been specifically put together for producers who've no need for a huge collection of inputs and outputs. So you can record any louder sources without any headaches, the Lyra 2 has been loaded with what's called a soft-clipping limiter, which gives any transients free passage whenever the audio levels are pushed to the max - without sacrificing any overall audio quality.

Connection Options & Audio Verification

In addition to two analogue inputs and four analogue outputs, Prism have built digital expansion potential into this audio interface in the form of S/PDIF and ADAT I/O, alongside an AES3 mode that can be activated via the RCA/phono connection. Also, for the linking up of multiple digital bits of kit, clocking and synchronisation technology is essential, which is why the Lyra 2 also comes with word-clock sync I/O, and it even does something that no other interface is capable of: a 'background check' on any audio stream or recorded audio. This Verifile technology ensures that any audio that goes in, comes out of the Lyra 2 without any sonic blemishes or imperfections.
