General

Short-scale bass guitars are loved by bassists in different music genres. With its 30-inch scale length, this Mustang Bass from Fender's American Performer series closely matches Leo Fender's original design and then adds a little more! In addition to the classic split-coil pickup in the mid position, for instance, it also has a Jazz Bass single-coil pickup at the bridge. Both pickups come from Fender's newly-developed Yosemite series and feature flat staggered poles and a shellac coating. That means they deliver a higher output and prevent problems with feedback. Two volume controls allow you to mix the sound to perfection and the Tone potentiometer has a Greasebucket Tone circuit that gives you more control over the higher frequencies as well as keeping the lower ones in check.

American Performer Mustang Bass: playing comfort

This Mustang also offers bassists optimal playing comfort thanks to the maple neck's modern C profile with satin-gloss finish and the rosewood fretboard's 9.5-inch radius. Nineteen jumbo frets also play their part in this. Other notable features include the vintage-looking, paddle-style machine heads that actually have a modern lightweight design. Bax krijgt niets meer van Fender.

Fijne bas, niks, helemaal niks mee aan de hand. Enkel laten afstellen bij baxshop. Ik heb nog zitten turen langs de hals, niks. helemaal niks. Uiteinde van de frets na voelen op scherpe uiteinde, niks helemaal niks.
En de nut, nut, helemaal nut. Voorganger is waarschijnlijk zeer gevoelig typje met jampot bril die nuts. helemaal nuts is.

Teleurstellend. Kromming in de hals erg groot. Om de hals goed af te stellen moet je hem losschroeven van de body. Is de 'oude kruisschroef aan de bodyzijde). Dus maar niet aan begonnen met een nieuwe bas. Scherpe randen aan de uiteinden van de frets. Brug aan de G kant helemaal omlaag gedraaid. Dan nog loopt de snaar te hoog over de toets. Nut was niet goed ingevijld. Kracht nodig om bijvoorbeeld de E snaar op de eerste fret (F) te drukken. Hals ronding voelt verder fijn. Bas is licht met een mooi afgewerkte body in een donkerrode kleur. Klinkt echt lekker. Teruggestuurd omdat we geen vrienden worden. Durfde hem niet om te ruilen uit vrees om een exemplaar met dezelfde kwaliteit te krijgen. Helaas... Zware tegenvaller voor een USA Fender. Na twee weken is de retour nog steeds niet verwerkt.
