The Adam Sub10 Mk2 and Sub12 are powerful subwoofers that are designed to expand on the low frequency possibilities of any near-field or midfield monitoring system. It's ideal in combination with the AX series or SX series monitors.

Features of the Sub10 Mk2 and Sub12

In terms of the characteristics of this Sub, the large 2-inch voice coil is driven by a 200-watt ICE power amp, which won't overheat thanks to the PWM technology. Multiple power supply elements ensure a total efficiency of 90%, so you can reach maximum capacity without worrying about damaging the electronic parts or driver.

Audio output of the Adam subwoofer

The Sub10 Mk2 is equipped with a 10-inch woofer and produces a frequency response of 25 Hz to 150 Hz. The larger Sub12 has a 12-inch woofer and delivers a sound pressure level that's 3 dB more. It can also reproduce frequencies as low as 22 Hz! Both models operate with the down-firing bass reflex tube, and the its large size prevents it from unwanted ventilation sounds. For larger spaces or higher volume levels, daisy-chain multiple Adam Subs! All inputs and outputs have both XLR and RCA connectors.

Deze Adam Sub10 MKII samen met de Devine Sub Pad MKII aangeschaft, ter aanvulling op twee Adam A7V's (die ik op IsoAcoustics heb staan), geplaatst aan de smalle zijde van een kamer van 3 x 10 meter, aangesloten op de gebalanceerde master-output een Pioneer mengpaneel (momenteel zonder interface er tussen). Het zoeken naar de (voor mij) juiste instellingen op de sub was vrij snel gedaan door een paar platen af te spelen die vol dynamiek zitten. Op basis van die muziek was ik begonnen bij de allerlaagste stand (dan hoor je de sub overigens helemaal niet) en daar vandaan langzaam er meer volume in gedraaid tot het klonk alsof alleen de A7V's het volle geluid leveren. Uiteindelijk kwam het er op neer dat ik in deze kamer niet veel nodig heb om met deze set een schitterend gedetailleerd geluid er uit te kunnen krijgen. De A7V's staan hier op -6 dB en de Sub op -45 dB op 50 Hz. Meer dan genoeg geluid voor waar ik ze voor gebruik en zelfs als ik ze hard zet is er in de kamer er onder is nauwelijks sprake van hoorbaar geluid (wel er aan toegevoegd dat dit huis goed geïsoleerd is). Intussen ben ik zelfs begonnen aan héél mijn muziek-collectie bij langs te gaan omdat ik met deze set-up veel meer hoor dan ooit te voren (en ik was al best wel wat gewend!). Ook de service van Bax was (is) goed. En tevens kreeg ik ook snel en uitgebreid reactie van Adam Audio toen ik het 1 en ander aan vragen had. Ja, ik ben meer dan tevreden!

Excelent sub. I do not produce music, I bought this sub to complement a (discontinued) adam GTC system and keep the same type of sound.

I also have 2 adam sub GTC (same as the adam sub 12, but the port is at the front). Comparing with the sub 10 and the 12, I think the 12 sounds way more boomy, you can certainly hear deeper bass, but the sub 10 can reproduce higher frequencies with much more ease, or that's my feeling. I think neither substitute the other one, but they complement each other quite nicely.

I got a second handed sub 10 and that's why I got this one, to have the pair. The overall sound in the room (open living room, 5x7x3) is very nice. I feel the sub 15 would've been too much, or I feel I do not need deeper bass than the 12. In any case, for music/movie experience, I definitely feel that 2 subs are much better than 1 (or in my case 4), and, if you can afford more than sub 1 size, I'd highly recommend it.

Heb de Sub10mk2 nu een aantal dagen in mijn bezit en man wat een fantastische subwoofer is dit.

Ik heb hem in combinatie staan met Adam A7X monitoren en over een RME Babyface interface en ik kan oprecht zeggen dat het geluid fenomenaal is.

In het begin heb ik nog wel een beetje gekloot met de instellingen (Volume, Phase, Cutoff Filter) maar nu alles eenmaal is ingesteld ben ik meer dan tevreden met het resultaat.

Ik kan hem ook aanraden voor mensen met een kleine kamer want mijn kamer is absoluut niet groot (2.30 x 4.70). Hij staat momenteel op -18db volume en met het filter op 75Hz. Het is niet overdonderend maar geeft me net dat extra laag wat ik nog miste, zeker op een lager volume.

Ik ben meer dan tevreden met deze aankoop.
