General

The Super Shallow edition of the renowned Ovation Celebrity electro-acoustic guitar keeps the sound tight and powerfully amplified to complete the optimal gigging tool. Since this is definitely an Ovation model, the CE48 features a Lyrachord composite body and a solid Sitka spruce soundboard: a combo that not only ensures bright trebles but focussed and balanced basses and, because the back is less rounded than the standard Celebrity, this guitar has a more slimline build, making it ideal for the stage. Add a strap and the playing feel is just as snug as a solid-bodied electric guitar.

The Ovation CE48 Celebrity Super Shallow: Clear Note-Definition & Singular Looks

Another unique feature of any Ovation electro-acoustic is the soundhole, which has been shifted from the centre and split into multi-soundholes of varying sizes before being set into laser-cut epaulettes either side of the upper bout. This doesn't just give this guitar its singular look, but supports excellently clear note-definition. To finish, the mahogany neck and 10 inch radiused ovangkol fretboard provide flowing playability, and powerful amplification is assured by a built in piezo pickup and OP-4CT preamp system complete with three-band EQ controls and a tuner.

A really nice guitar, great finish, good pickup, great neck & frets, sounds great acoustically and electricly. I am really impressed with this guitar.
