General

Peavey's IPR 2 7500 is a Class-D amplifier that can deliver quite a lot of power. For instance, its RMS power is 3750 watts at 2 ohms and 1250 watts at 8 ohms. But it's not only in power output that this amplifier excels. The other specifications are not bad either. A crossover is built in, so there is no need to buy a separate speaker processor. To guarantee a clean signal, DDT compression is present, which neatly eliminates overdrive. Of course, power consumption and weight also play a role and Peavey has done something about that too. By using a switching power supply, they have managed to reduce the weight nicely and also ensure efficient power consumption. To receive the right information, LED indicators are present and as for contact with the outside world, at the inputs this is done by means of combi XLR/jack connectors and at the outputs these are speakons.
