General

The RE50B microphone is an worldwide industry standard when it comes to reporting, broadcasting, and TV productions. Whether interviewing an MP or a neighbour from up the street, the RE50B is more than capable. This omni-directional microphone can already be seen used by journalists all over the world since it comes supported by a smart 'Dyna-Damp' shock-mount system that limits contact noise to an absolute minimum. This system allows the microphone to be hand-held and moved from the mouth of the reporter to the interviewee without causing any unwanted noise. Meanwhile, an internal four-way pop-filter provides highly efficient dampening of plosive 'P' or 'T' sounds and protects the diaphragm, while the microphone as a whole is almost completely insensitive to moisture, high temperatures, and salty air.
