General

The Yamaha HS8 has claimed the place of the HS80M. This sturdy, active studio monitor provides a room-filling sound, even in large studios, without sounding screamy or pounding. Yamaha designed the HS Series to sound as neutral as possible, without any boosted frequencies and with lots of dynamic headroom for honest mix balance imaging at any desired playback volume level, without any distortion.

Yamaha HS8: Huge range

With a respectable 8-inch diameter, the characteristically white woofer easily handles bass sound reproduction. Moreover, the HS8 operates from 42 Hertz up to way beyond anything the human ear is capable of picking up. For increased efficiency, it no longer features magnetic shielding, since modern, flat screen monitors have subsided the need for magnetic protection. With a 120 Watts of power, the HS8 is an all-capable all-rounder.
