With the Vintage Ultra V2 bass overdrive/preamp, Darkglass had already created the holy grail. With the Vintage Ultra V2 AUX, they push things even further. Alongside the lush tone-shaping capability and incredibly natural feeling cabinet simulation, you can now hook up your phone to jam along with your favourite tracks and even keep things private using the fitted headphone output. Just as with the previous edition, Darkglass Suite has been included, giving you smooth and intuitive impulse response selection to shape brilliantly realistic sounding virtual speaker cabinets. Combine this with the balanced Direct Output, and the sound engineer at any gig will become your immediate BFF, since you can directly send your DI sound or your impulse response to the front of house while you have complete control over the result - no matter the situation.

Unparalleled Tone-Shaping

In terms of controls, the Microtubes Vintage Ultra v2 AUX definitely doesn't fall short. The Master control function sets the volume of the unit while the Blend pot can be tweaked to find the sweet spot between the distortion and dry signal - giving you the freedom to work with the effected and clean signals in parallel. The intensity of the wet signal is dialed in with the 'Drive' pot, and the 'Level' pot sets the drive presence and, if you're in need of a little top-end boost or a smooth low-cut, then a potent, precise, and conveniently fast sound-shaping tool in the form of the Attack Switch has been provided. The EQ section offers clean, clear and accurate Bass, Low Mids, Hi Mids, and Treble controls to fine-tune the frequencies with more detail, and the aptly named Grunt switch gives you access three low-end boosts.
