General

If you're looking for a violin that's a little different from the norm, what about Stagg's VN 4/4 TBK? This black violin has a spruce top and maple back, sides and neck for a bright sound with good resonance. It's perfect for students and comes with a soft case, chin support, a bow and rosin.

4/4-Size Violins

This full-sized violin is suitable for adults or children with an arm length of approximately 60 cm. For younger children, a smaller size violin, like 3/4, 1/2, 1/3, 1/8, or 1/10, is recommended. For a violin, the arm length should be measured from the middle of the palm of the hand to under the chin. This will give you the length that will allow the scroll to be held in a curved hand with the elbow slightly bent and fingers pointing towards the face. If the measurement falls between two sizes, it's recommended to go with the smaller size.

Bon cest vraiment un violon pour commencé hein faut pas sattendre à de bonne surprise.. bon cest un limite quand même car quand je lai reçu, je lai ouvert pour la première fois et une corde était déjà cassé... jai contacté le service client vendredi matin et nous le lundi toujours pas de réponse ! Deux fois que jai un problème chez bax et je trouve que le service client est un peu prix à la légère ! Bon enfin voilà pour en revenir au violon , ouai cest vraiment pas terrible mais ça fait laffaire pour apprendre, après si vous avez un budget plus ouvert, foncez sur autre chose !!

Ik speel piano sinds mijn vierde en gitaar en percussie sinds mijn pubertijd. Viool heb ik altijd willen leren spelen.
Prima viool zo lijkt het.
Alleen het afstellen van de snaren gaat niet altijd even soepel. De stemsleutels glijden terug en eentje zit zelfs erg los. Eerst wilde ik de viool terugsturen, maar na de losse stemsleutel voorzichtig vast te hebben gedrukt, lijkt het allemaal wel ok. De stemsleutels zijn echter wel irritant eerlijk gezegd. Maar omdat ik net begin, zie ik het even over het hoofd en heb ik de viool maar niet teruggestuurd.

Mijn wederhelft houdt niet van violen maar aangezien hij zich momenteel op een boorplatform aan de andere kant van de aardbol bevindt, heb ik voor mezelf deze viool aangeschaft. Een hoogglans zwarte, want die past dan tenminste bij de gitaren hier aan de muur. Dat dan weer wel.
Laat ik nou altijd gedacht hebben dat je voor een viool een nier moet verkopen of in elk geval een tweede
hypotheek afsluiten. Maar nee! De vakantie is afbetaald, de belastingcenten zijn binnen en dit model valt binnen mn budget.
Onderaan is een klein randje donkergroene lak zichtbaar (ook best een leuk kleurtje) en de zgn f-holes (die benaming krijgt ongetwijfeld de goedkeuring van mn man) zijn wat rommelig afgewerkt maar ja, wat wil je voor deze prijs.
Na het aanbrengen van de hars op de haren van de strijkstok, kreeg ik er zelfs meteen geluid uit en de honden begonnen niet eens te janken dus het zal wel niet heel verschrikkelijk geweest zijn. So far so good!
Helaas bleek bij het stemmen van de snaren dat de stemsleutels steeds weer terug bleven glijden in hun oude positie. En blijkbaar ben ik iets te fanatiek (en/of ongeduldig) geweest want de G-snaar brak. Das de dikste snaar nog wel. Een beetje sip heb ik zojuist dus maar een pakje nieuwe snaren besteld. Het oefenen wordt hier dus nog even uitgesteld, helaas.
