What is a B-stock product?

A product becomes B-stock when it can no longer be sold as new. It can simply be a product that has been returned by a customer or it may have packaging that is damaged or missing. It’s possible that the product itself may show slight signs of use or damage too. All B-stock products are fully checked to ensure that they work properly and you can find details of why the product is a B-stock in the information above.

B-stock products also include photos of the actual B-stock item so that you can see exactly what it looks like.

Product information

General

Weaving together the magic of tremolo and reverb to complete a heady recipe that was first developed back in the sixties, this is the second incarnation of the Strymon Flint. This little box grants access to the unmistakable spaghetti-western-flavoured sound that was first conjured by nothing more than the spring reverb tank of your amp and a tremolo effect. In fact, why not just engage (via the neat mini-switches) the complex sound of 1961 Harmonic Tremolo, the swamp-like sound of a 1963 Power Tube Tremolo, or the balanced sweet and balanced sound of a 1965 Photocell Tremolo. While over in the reverb section, you get the pick of a classic 1960 Spring Tank Reverb, a notoriously inventive 1970 Electronic Plate Reverb, or the more nostalgic vibe of a 1980 Hall Rack Reverb.

Vintage Sound in a New Box

The next-gen Flint comes with a few new additions, including a Speed pot which offers extensive control over the sluggishness of the tremolo down to a minimum of 1Hz and a new Pre-Delay pot tweaks the moment when the reverb kicks in. To offer guitarists in-depth control over every detail in the chain, the Flint V2 is also fully MIDI compatible, so every parameter can be independently tweaked via a DAW or MIDI controller. But, the biggest upgrade has to be the JFET input which, thanks to the addition of a discrete Class-A JFET preamp, boasts considerably improved dynamics and an even more accurate response.

Powerful ARM Processing

The renewed ARM DSP processor on board the Flint V2 allows multiple parallel processing at a lower power consumption and has an increased focus on sonic detail. And, since the Flint isn't just built for guitarists, the input signal can be switched to a line-level to accommodate active basses and synthesizers, or to set up this pedal to serve as an effect loop - and more. Even the internal effect chain can be adjusted, so if you want to slot the reverb in before the tremolo to mimic the make-up of vintage amps, or if you prefer the cleaner output that results when the modulation is placed before the reverb, then you can punch in your preferred routing and fully customise your sound.

Strymon Flint V2 Tremolo en Reverb

Once you've tried it, the Flint is a pedal you cannot do without. The options offered always sound very musical. 3 different types of tremolo, three different reverbs; it's more than enough to add depth and life to your guitar sound. Not the cheapest pedal you can find, but worth it.
