Then, simply clear out a little corner of your pedalboard and make space for the Electro Harmonix Lester G Rotary Speaker Simulator. Inside this tight stompbox lies the power to evoke the genuine and deeply adored sound of a vintage Leslie, with the helping hand of a little built-in compression. This pedal doesn't just provide control over the rotary speed, but the speed at which the virtual speaker spins. A drive pot has also been included so that the edges can be frayed as preferred for that added touch of Leslie-based realism. The speed can also be controlled in real time by hooking up an extra expression pedal (not included)

Omdat ik ook toetsen speel, al jaren een Hammond SK1 heb en ook met een echte Leslie gespeeld heb in de studio, weet ik wat ik ervan kan verwachten. Toch heb ik de Lester G echt voor gitaar gekocht. En ik kan er kort over zijn: Hij klinkt fantastisch! Ik sluit hem aan op de instrument ingangen van mijn Pro Tools Carbonn en dat werkt eigenlijk het beste! Of anders natuurlijk via een fx return van een echte amp. Op internet las ik wat reacties van mensen die hem erg overweldigend vonden, wat mij betreft is dat precies wat hij moet doen! Hij neemt je gitaartoon compleet over, wat enorm bijdraagt aan de beleving voor mij! De compressor van de Lester G werkt fantastisch en heeft een lekkere lange sustain, zodat je er van die mooie sfeervolle akkoorden mee kan spelen! Drive is ook te gek, lekker oud en gruizig, zoals ik gewend ben van een Hammond! Heeft voor mij ook de voorkeur boven de Neo Ventilator 2, maar dat is natuurlijk een kwestie van smaak! Als je dus naar een rotary pedaal voor je gitaar op zoek bent, zou ik deze zeker een kans geven! Ik hou ervan!!

Net binnen. Geweldig ding. Mooi formaat, heerlijke klanken en veel mogelijkheden. Heb jaren op een Hughes&Kettner Rotosphere gespeeld die echt geweldig was en ik vind deze er absoluut niet voor onderdoen. Heeft in ieder geval een beter formaat en is in vergelijking tot andere leslie/rotosphereachtige pedalen een stuk goedkoper. Moet wel zeggen dat ik echt van Electro Harmonix hou. In combinatie met de ehx pitchfork heb je een hammondorgel op je pedalenplank.

Levering Bax overigens heel goed. Zondagavond om 22:00 besteld en op Maandagochtend om 09:30 binnen.

Een zeer waardige Leslie-simulator.
Let op, ik ben een keyboardspeler dus de meesten verwachten
dan dat ik voor de Lester K zou kiezen, maar die vind ik
veel te beperkt. De Lester G heeft veel meer controls en de
mogelijkheid om de snelheid/acceleratie te controleren met
een extern expressiepedaal, ik gebruik hiervoor een Boss FV-500L
en dat werkt prima.
Hiervoor gebruikte ik een Neo Instruments Ventilator II, die op
zich ook al legendarisch goed is, toch gaat mijn voorkeur naar deze
Lester G, vooral omdat hij meer hands on controle heeft maar hij reageert
ook beter op een expressiepedaal dan de Ventilator II, en hij is
nog een pak goedkoper ook. Qua klankkwaliteit hoor ik niet echt een
verschil. Behalve dat de 'Drive' beter klinkt dan de Ventilator II.
Maar laat je niet misleiden, ik gebruik de Lester G voor keyboards maar
gitaristen met een beperkter budget of minder wensen kunnen gerust
voor de Lester K kiezen, dat werkt ook!
