Packaging in good condition: undamaged (sticky tape residue may be visible)
Packaging damaged: box has dents, tears and/or holes
Packaging missing: replaced with a Bax Music box
New: the product itself is new, but the packaging may not look new

Stripped right back to the essentials, the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen audio interface keeps things simple yet stunningly professional. This tight red box comes fitted with just one jack input for line-level instruments and one XLR microphone input, so it can support an array of differsent setups. With this interface, you can do things like plug a microphone into the XLR port and plug a mono synthesizer into the jack port to record vocals and synths on separate tracks in your DAW. Input 2 also features a Line/Hi-Z switch: flip it into Hi-Z mode and you can jack in an electric guitar or bass.
The sound of the Scarlett Solo 4th Gen interface is initially neutral - until you hit the Air button. This activates a specially developed circuit that coats the microphone channel in a sweet, analogue character, where the mid-frequencies are emphasised while the saturation remains rounded and never sounds too sharp. This feature alone brings the quality of sound close to that of Focusrite/Rupert Neve developed ISA preamps. Basically, you're looking at stunning, studio-quality sound courtesy of a desktop-friendly unit.
Keeping things flexible for content creators, this interface also features a loopback function, making it easier to route through and add the sound of other apps, like your browser, a gaming platform or Spotify to your live stream. This neat feature completely removes the need to mess with any extra external audio and video equipment.
