General

The Córdoba Stage Artist Traditional is built for guitarists who want to combine the familiar feel of a classic nylon guitar with the ease and ergonomics of an electric instrument. The solid cedar top gives a warm, direct response, just as you would expect from an acoustic classical guitar. Thanks to the solid mahogany body with extensive chambering, the Stage Artist electric sounds really full-bodied. But you avoid the typical thin sound of an ordinary piezo pickup thanks to the Córdoba Stage Pickup System. Ideal for classical or flamenco and new fusion styles!

Classic playing feel in new form

The Stage Artist's body is relatively thin compared to traditional classical variants, but thicker than Córdoba's standard Stage guitars. It has a practical cutaway, scalloped heel, and a deeper contour at the bottom. This allows the guitar to rest comfortably against your body without poking into your leg and gives you easy access to the higher positions. The C-section mahogany neck provides modern playing comfort, and the usual nut width of 52 mm is exactly what you expect from a classical guitar. That combined with a flat ebony fingerboard with maple purfling provide that classic playing feel in an updated form.

The Stage Pickup System

But that's not the only thing that sets the Córdoba Stage Artist apart: the Stage Pickup System (developed with Fishman) combines an undersaddle transducer element with internal body sensors. That combination produces a balanced, full sound without the artificial sound that often characterises piezo pickups. Volume, EQ and Body Blend controls let you adjust exactly how much acoustic character you add to the amplified signal. And the whole thing is stylishly finished with gold hardware, premium rosewood knobs and quality Flower Petal tuners. So the Stage Artist makes a solid statement both technically and visually! In short: the premium Córdoba Stage Artist is a stage-ready instrument that convincingly brings together classic tradition and modern flexibility.
