The Hohner HOM2101X Penta Harp features an alternative, diatonic tuning in A-minor, so entry-level harmonica players can easily play through scales on the first try. Most harmonicas have the standard Richter tuning, where the notes of a major chord are arranged so they can be blown while the four other notes of the scale are drawn, making it easier to play chords by blowing or drawing multiple holes at once. Hohner Penta Harp A Minor Diatonic Harmonica

Deze nieuwe harp heeft heel wat mogelijkheden. Ze is ook enorm geschikt om te leren spelen. Het benden en de overblow gaan spotgemakkelijk en op de meeste rietjes. De bluestoonladder ligt enorm goed en is heel vlot te spelen. Als je toonladdertjes speelt, klinkt het ook onmiddellijk enorm bluesy. Als je 'straight' speelt (in de toonaard van de harp) kan je niet meer vals spelen. Ook voor de doorgewinterde harmonicaspeler heeft de harp een en ander te bieden. Je kan op één harp minstens vier verschillende toonaarden spelen. Een nadeel is dat je geen akkoorden meer kan spelen. Jezelf begeleiden met een ritmische tongslag is er niet meer bij. Op een klassieke bluesharp zijn de tofste bendnoten drawnoten omdat je 'cross' moet spelen. Dat geeft toch meer 'soul', vooral omdat je ook meerdere noten tegelijk kan spelen.
