Chauvet DJ Cast Panel Pack Studio Lighting (Set of 2)

Heb een jaar later een tweede setje aangekocht omdat mijn opnameruimte vergroot is. Deze led panelen blijven waar voor hun geld. Ik gebruik ze nu al een jaar bijna dagelijks voor opnames voor mijn Youtube kanaal, zonder problemen. Deze keer zaten wel de juiste netstroomkabels bij de set, maar met slechts 50cm kabel naar de adapter kom je natuurlijk niet ver. Dat had dus zeker wat langer gemogen. Ook op de statieven is in deze set duidelijk bespaard. Zeer dun metaal en als je ze op volle hoogte uittrekt, worden ze al snel onstabiel. Voor mij speelt dat niet zo, aangezien ik de panelen heb opgehangen, maar voor regelmatig gebruik 'on the road' zou ik stevigere statieven aanschaffen.

Zeer degelijke led panels met veel instelmogelijkheden voor de kleurtemperatuur en de helderheid. Iedere panel heeft barndoors en een uitschuifbare diffuusfilter. Goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Duurzaamheid moet zich nog uitwijzen. Maar ik vind dit alvast een zeer goede set, zowel voor beginners met beperkt budget als voor professionals als reserve lichtset.

Minpunt: in de tas bij de beide panels zat een IEC C13 netkabel om de voeding aan te sluiten, terwijl de voeding een IEC C6 plug heeft. Dus out-of-the-box kon ik de panels niet gebruiken. Vermoedelijk heeft Chauvet andere voedingen bijgesloten, maar vergeten de kabels in de pakketten te vervangen. Bijzonder slordig! Ik had gelukkig nog een IEC C6 kabel liggen om de spots te testen en een tweede zal ik dan moeten aankopen. Voor zoiets ga ik de set immers niet terugsturen.
