What is a B-stock product?

A product becomes B-stock when it can no longer be sold as new. It can simply be a product that has been returned by a customer or it may have packaging that is damaged or missing. It’s possible that the product itself may show slight signs of use or damage too. All B-stock products are fully checked to ensure that they work properly and you can find details of why the product is a B-stock in the information above.

B-stock information

The B-stock tab on the product page shows information about the B-stock product. Be aware that this information supersedes anything you may read in the product description. The product description includes text and specifications about the product in its brand-new state. It’s possible that a B-stock item may be missing accessories mentioned in the text or specifications, for instance, but if so, this will always be mentioned in the B-stock information. B-stock products also include photos of the actual B-stock item so that you can see exactly what it looks like.

B-stock photos

The B-stock photos allow you to see the actual B-stock product you are considering purchasing. The photos show the following::

  • Photo of the brand new product
  • Photo of the B-stock product with packaging (if included) and any accessories
  • Photo showing the front of the B-stock product
  • Photo showing the back of the B-stock product
  • Photo showing any damage to the B-stock product (if applicable)

Original packaging

Packaging in good condition: undamaged (sticky tape residue may be visible)
Packaging damaged: box has dents, tears and/or holes
Packaging missing: replaced with a Bax Music box

State of product:

New: the product itself is new, but the packaging may not look new
Signs of use (no damage or scratches): smudges, fingerprints and/or dust
Scratches/damage: product has scratches and/or damage

Can I return a B-stock product?

Yes! Our 30-Day Trial Period also applies to B-stock products.

Do B-stock products come with a warranty?

Yes! Our usual Bax Music warranty also applies to most B-stock products.

General

The Talk Box is one of the most innovative and unique guitar effects of all time. It can be heard on many classic and modern hits by artists such as Bon Jovi and Aerosmith. Legendary guitarists such as Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh and Slash have all used the exceptional sound of this quirky effect. The Talk Box isn't an effect, really, it's a device that allows you to use your mouth as an acoustic soundbox for your guitar, so you can create the most amazing vocal effects - from wah wah to ya ya and everything in between. This M222 by MXR is modelled after the original Talkbox from the sixties.

M222 Talk Box: The Practical Choice

The MXR team has modernised the Talk Box to make it easier to use, without taking away any of its unmistakable character. Tucked inside the rugged metal housing, the MXR M222 is equipped with its own amplifier and speaker driver making it easy to integrate into your pedalboard with no need for a separate rig to hook up the speaker output to your amplifier. Once installed on your board and jacked in, simply adjust the sound to suite your personal preferences via the volume, tone and gain controls.

Tips or comments about this product

Please note

  • the Talk Box isn't suited for use with amps that have a power of over 100 watts!
  • you need a microphone with PA system for this effect!
  • both your instrument amp and microphone need to be properly grounded!
  • a microphone stand is recommended. The included clip attaches the voice tube to the stand.

MXR M222 Talk Box

Heel tevreden van mijn MXR Talkbox. Speel al heel mijn leven gitaar en alles al gehad van apparatuur maar deze nooit gehad. Ik heb hem voor Show me the way van Peter Frampton gekocht.

Come on, in welk jaar leven we?!
