For a fiery start to your bass guitar career, this affordable Laney LX15B-RED is a great option. This bass guitar amp combo comes from the amp maker's LX series and combines a low price with a tight sound. With this amp, that comes from two 5-inch Custom Drivers with a total power output of 15 watts. So that's great for practising at home or using in band. And if you want to play along with your songs extra well, you can connect your media player to the AUX input. And if you need it quieter, you can plug in your headphones.
Slappin' tha bass, man!
A commonly used technique within the bass world is so-called slapping. Because this causes all notes to not always come through equally loud, you can switch on a compressor on the LX15B-RED. This equalises everything. A handy feature that complements that comes from the shape button. This boosts your midrange. You can then use the three-band equaliser to make your sound even more your own. The gain lets you give your sound an edge, the volume speaks for itself. An added bonus is that the original Laney tones have been preserved as much as possible.
