General

Laney's LX series offers affordable transistor combos that, despite their small price, produce a great sound. The LX15 Black is a guitar amplifier combo with 15 watts of power and two 5-inch Custom Drivers that give you a wide sound. 15 watts is enough for rehearsing or playing at home, but if that's too much power, you can always continue in relative silence by using the headphone socket. It's a great model for guitarists looking for their first amp.

The search for the ultimate tone

The LX15's front panel is a relatively simple affair with an input for your guitar as well as a headphone socket and an aux-in that allows you to connect an external sound source. You will also find controls for the volume, a 3-band equalizer for changing the tone, and a gain knob. With the gain knob you can adjust the level of distortion using the drive button to turn it on or off. Lastly, there is a button called Bright that makes the sound more sparkling when its turned on. These controls will be enough to let you discover you own sound.
