The Dunlop Shell Plastic Thumbpick is finished in a classic tortoise-shell-style. This pick pulls warmth out of your strings and can be used in combination with a finger-pick to give the sound of your picking more clarity and volume. The Shell Plastic Thumpick can be used on pretty much any stringed instrument and is often seen used to great effect by slide and lap steel guitarists as well as bluegrass banjo players.
Tips or comments about this product- If the pick doesn’t fit your finger exactly, keep it under running warm water while you try to widen it out a bit.

Eerst even wennen, maar wil nu niet meer anders. Ik ervaar dat ik meer controle heb over mijn rechterhand. Bovendien kan ik nu ook mij losse vingers gebruiken.
Tip: voor dikke vingers: je kunt de plectrum afstellen door hem op te warmen met een verfbrander en dan naar eigen smaak te buigen.

Zitten goed om de duim. heb een vrij dunne duim maar zit medium is net niet te strak ook rekt hij door de tijd wat mee. het speelt goed en geeft een helder geluid dus zeker en aanrader.

Ik speel pop punk muziek op een western gitaar. Het is muziek met veel melodieën waarbij ik fingerpicking technieken gebruik.
Om deze noten helderder te laten klinken gebruik ik graag een duimplectrum.
Dit duim plectrum van Dunlop klinkt geweldig, niet dof, en reageert snel.
Daarnaast heb ik ook zeer smalle en dunne vingers en maat Medium past perfect.

Ik speel zelf op een acoustische gitaar. Om wat harder te kunnen spelen is een plectrum toch wel handig. Ik vind echter het vasthouden van gewone plectrums best lastig. Met name als je slag speelt komt er behoorlijk wat druk op te staan. Deze kwam ik tegen en ik dacht laat ik deze maar eens proberen. Het bevalt me eigenlijk super goed. Het speelt minder pijnlijk als met je vingers, en het geluid is harder en zuiverder.
Pluspunten:
- goede pasvorm
- Blijft mooi op zijn plek
- spelen met plectrum zonder dat je kracht hoeft te zetten om hem vast te houden
Minpuntje:
- Net als alle plectrums moet je hier ook voorzichtig mee omgaan anders beschadig je je gitaar.
