General
The DiMarzio Area J™ Neck is designed for bassists seeking that classic, vintage J Bass® sound, but without the familiar single-coil hum. Expect a warm foundation, plenty of sustain and a clean, singing tone: exactly what a traditional Jazz Bass neck pickup is known for. This pickup is designed for the neck position of the original Fender Jazz Bass, where the neck and bridge cavities are of different lengths. Some modern basses use equal lengths; therefore, always check the dimensions to ensure you make the right choice
