General
The DiMarzio Area J 5 Bridge is a noiseless J-style pickup for 5-string electric basses, designed to deliver a warm, singing vintage tone with excellent sustain. Thanks to the low-pull magnetic field, the strings are allowed to resonate freely and the low B string sounds remarkably clear and tight. With medium output and a balanced tone, this pickup works just as well in basses with passive as with active electronics. Please note: this is not a direct drop-in replacement for 5-string Fender Jazz Bass® pickups (modification required).
