The compact EMG HB active bass guitar pickup was originally designed to kit out the headless basses built by Steinberger with a P-style pup with a more slim humbucker housing. This model has been set up for four-string instruments with a 2 inch/50.8mm string spacing and delivers the tight and powerful sound of a ceramic core. While voiced for the middle position, this pickup can also be mounted at the bridge or neck to upgrade your bass with muscular, tonal variation, more-than-enough output, definition and presence, and the beauty of this EMG offering is that you don't even need a soldering iron to install it, since it comes complete with the all the materials you need and can be mounted via EMG's own solderless system.
