Elixir's 14102 Electric Bass Nickel Plated Nanonweb Medium guitar strings are made for long-scale bass guitars. Thanks to the Nanoweb coating, they retain their rich, clear, warm tone and smooth feel for much longer than other strings. They're perfect for bass players who play with their fingers, with a plectrum or slap.

Why choose Elixir electric bass strings?

Due to the acid from your fingers and the humidity in the air, steel strings are subject to corrosion. String quality is further detrimented by grease, sweat and dead skin cells that accumulate between coils, inhibiting their ability to vibrate, which makes the strings sound a bit ‘dead’. These Elixir strings have a thin protective fluoropolymer coating which provides a barrier between string and environment without affecting the feel or sound of the string. The result is a string set with a long lifespan that retains its clear sound for an extended period of time.
