Basically, with these pups, you're getting classic J-style tone but with an even wider range, resulting in extra depth and extra clarity.

The EMG J5 Set: Full & Balanced Sound

The largely low-induction resistance of these single-coils strengthens the low-frequency response and, at the same time, the specially shaped magnets tame the mid frequencies, keeping them taut and responsive, while the trebles remain dynamic and clearly punch through. In any situation, these active bass pickups shape balanced amplified sound. Before installation, double check that the routing of your model will match the pickup dimensions.
