General
For bass you can actually feel, you can't go wrong with the Ampeg PF-410HLF. This surprisingly portable and incredibly flexible bass guitar speaker cabinet is the most fiercely potent member of the Portaflex Series. Four first-class 10-inch Eminence speakers and a 1-inch high-frequency horn push a mammoth 800 Watts out of a classic Ampeg-style cab. While the PF-410HLF is certainly the ideal partner for the Ampeg PF-350 or PF-500 heads, it's powerful enough to handle other high-output amplifiers.
The PF-410HLF: Modern Function in a Classic Jacket
The design of the PF-410HLF Portaflex has been lifted directly from that of the classic Ampeg B-15 flip-top from the '60s. From the grey speaker grille to the characteristic black diamond-textured vinyl coating, this cabinet boasts a deliciously vintage look while, round the back, a big bass reflex port bears the load of the sound-pressure and fattens the lower frequencies. Two parallel switched inputs and outputs allow the coupling of more than one cab so that a number of Portaflex Series speakers can be set up for the ideal flexible rig, and a three-way switch toggles the HF horn from full capacity, to reduced capacity to off.
Optimal Convenience
The PF-410HLF Portaflex is not just flexible in terms of setup, but is also built to be portable. At just 33kg, this might be the lightest speaker cab of its kind and two integrated handles make sure of comfortable shifting and positioning while a complete set of four removable wheels make loading in and breaking down even easier.
